Navigating Difficult Emotions is a gentle, 90-minute mini-course that gives you one simple tool you can reach for when anxiety spikes, grief swells, shame floods in, or you just feel numb. So you can stop spiraling or shutting down and start responding from a place of peace, clarity, and self-compassion.
Your body is doing what it has learned to do to stay safe.
This is not because you are weak or “too much.” It is because...
Long for peace, but do not know how to get there when your body is in a stress response
Freeze, spiral, overthink, or shut down when big emotions hit
Love God and others, yet feel emotionally exhausted from trying to hold it
Know how to push through… but don’t always know how to calm down
You are in the right place if you:
Have a realistic pathway back to peace when you feel stuck, reactive, or shut down.
Treat yourself with more kindness in the middle of anxiety, grief, or anger.
Feel calmer and grounded in your body, even when life is still hard.
Have a simple tool you can reach for, instead of numbing out or shaming yourself.
Know exactly what to do when big emotions rise instead of feeling caught off guard.

This course is for anyone who feels overwhelmed by their emotions and wants a simple, practical way to steady themselves when stress rises.

Therapy is designed to treat mental health conditions and work through deeper patterns and histories. Navigating Difficult Emotions is a coaching and soul care tool that gives you one simple, repeatable practice to use when emotions surge in real time. It can complement therapy or counseling, but it does not replace professional mental health care or emergency support.
Remember: Navigating Difficult Emotions is a coaching and soul care tool, not therapy or emergency mental health treatment.
APR stands for Abundant Peace Restoration. When difficult emotions are triggered, APR is a gentle, guided process that helps you calm your nervous system, notice what is happening inside, and respond from a place of compassion and clarity instead of panic, shame, or shutdown. Think of it as emotional first aid for real life, a reset you can reach for when hard feelings rise.
Many women who come to me have already done a lot of good work. What they are missing is not more ideas, but one clear tool to reach for in the moment when emotions are loud. This course is designed to be light, practical, and repeatable so that you are not sifting through a dozen concepts. You are practicing one simple pathway back to peace.
The teaching videos are about 90 minutes total, which can be completed in one or two sittings. You can then spend 15 to 20 minutes with the reflection worksheet and begin practicing APR in real life as situations arise. This is not a heavy program. It is a light, repeatable practice meant to fit into the life you already have. Most importantly, it’s a simple tool you can use every time you are hit with painful emotions.
This course was created by someone who has walked through loss, illness, and deep waves of grief. APR does not erase pain, but it can give you a softer way to move through intense moments so you are not alone with your reactions or stuck in survival mode. If you are in crisis or feel unsafe, you will still need more immediate support from your doctor, therapist, pastor, or local emergency services. If you would like additional support as you move through a challenging season, please set up a complimentary conversation with Dr. Richelle HERE.
“I am calmer. I value the 1-8-90 reset and the tools you taught. I have more self-control and stay calmer in diverse situations as I remind myself that I am a good person, God loves me, even if I do not feel that love or caring from another.”
-Connie L.
“I have learned, and am still learning, that if I deal with feelings and situations when they happen that I can prevent myself from being controlled by the resulting emotions.”
